Frequently Asked Questions

How do I build a team?
Search for a Pokémon and click it to add it to one of your six slots. Once added, expand the loadout panel to set its ability, held item, nature, and up to four moves. Repeat for each team member. Use the defensive coverage chart and speed tiers to spot weaknesses and adjust your roster before heading into a matchup.
How does Pokepaste import work?
Click "Import Pokepaste", paste a Showdown-format team export (the kind you get from Pokepaste.org or the Showdown teambuilder), then click Import. The tool auto-matches species names, abilities, items, moves, and natures. EVs from old Showdown sets are automatically converted to Stat Points (SP) — 8 EVs = 1 SP.
What is the AI team feedback prompt?
The "Copy AI prompt for team feedback" button packages your full team — species, types, stats, abilities, items, moves, speed tiers, and type coverage — into a ready-to-paste text prompt. Copy it, open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any AI assistant, paste, and ask for team analysis. The AI gets all the context it needs in one paste, including common meta archetypes.
What does the defensive coverage chart show?
The chart displays all 18 types along the top and your team members along the side. Each cell shows the damage multiplier that attacking type deals to that team member. Red cells indicate weaknesses (2× or 4×), green cells indicate resistances (0.5× or 0.25×), and black cells indicate immunities. Use it to spot type vulnerabilities across your whole team at a glance.
Can I take my team to the matchup tool?
Yes — once you have at least one Pokémon in your team, a "Battle with this team" button appears. Click it to open the matchup tool with your team pre-loaded on your side, ready to add an opponent and start analysis.
