Frequently Asked Questions

What items are legal in Regulation M-A?
Regulation M-A allows all held items, Mega Stones, and Berries available in Pokémon Champions. Miscellaneous items like Affinity Tickets are not battle items and are excluded from this list.
What are Mega Stones?
Mega Stones are held items that allow specific Pokémon to Mega Evolve during battle. Each Mega Stone is exclusive to one Pokémon species (or two in Charizard's case with X and Y variants). The Pokémon must hold the stone to transform.
Can two Pokémon on my team hold the same item?
No — in VGC, the Item Clause prevents any two Pokémon on the same team from holding the same item. This applies to all items including Berries and Mega Stones.
Which items affect damage calculation?
Several items modify damage: Life Orb (+30% damage), Choice Band (+50% physical), Choice Specs (+50% special), Expert Belt (+20% on super-effective hits). Defensive items like Assault Vest (+50% SpD) and Eviolite (+50% both defenses) reduce incoming damage. All of these are supported in the damage calculator.
Will the item list change with new regulations?
Potentially — new regulations may add or restrict items. RotomPicks updates the item list when each new regulation is released.
