Frequently Asked Questions

Why are only some Pokémon listed here?

This list shows only the Pokémon that are legal in the current VGC regulation (Regulation M-A). Pokémon Champions uses the Paldea Pokédex with a Paldea Origin Mark requirement, which limits a curated roster including their Mega Evolutions.

Will this list change?

Yes — when a new regulation is released, the list of legal Pokémon may change. RotomPicks will update the data when each new regulation goes live.

What do the stats mean?

The six stats are HP (Hit Points), Atk (Attack), Def (Defense), SpA (Special Attack), SpD (Special Defense), and Spe (Speed). These are base stats — the actual in-battle value depends on Stat Points (SP), nature, and level (set to 50). IVs are always 31 in Champions.

What is BST?

BST stands for Base Stat Total — the sum of all six base stats. It gives a rough indication of a Pokémon's overall power, though distribution matters more than total in competitive play.

Why are some Pokémon listed twice?

Pokémon that can Mega Evolve appear twice: once with their base form stats and once with their Mega Evolution stats. Mega forms have different stats, types, and abilities.

Can I see the full movepool for a Pokémon?

Yes — click any Pokémon's name to open its detail page. There you'll find base stats, abilities, all forms (including Mega), and the complete movepool with type, category, power, and accuracy for every move.

Is there a speed tier list?

You're looking at it — click the Spe column header to sort all legal Pokémon by base Speed. This gives you the full speed tier list for Regulation M-A at a glance. For speed comparisons with Tailwind, Trick Room, or specific matchups, use the matchup tool or team builder which calculate effective speed with modifiers.
